Job Title: Senior Accountant

Overview:
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing and overseeing the financial operations of the company. This position involves reviewing financial data, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The Senior Accountant will supervise a team, participate in forecasting and budgeting, and support various audits. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in accounting, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to optimize financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Accounts Payable & Receivable Management:
- Review and manage the accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

- Financial Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyze financial data to create detailed reports on the company’s financial status.
- Present financial reports to executives and senior management, offering insights based on the analysis.

- Optimization & Accuracy:
- Develop and implement recommendations to optimize accounting systems and procedures.
- Detect and correct inaccuracies in financial data and reports.

- Supervision & Team Leadership:
- Supervise accounting assistants and bookkeepers, plan their work, and assign tasks to ensure smooth operations.
- Provide guidance and consultation on accounting control procedures to company personnel.

- Forecasting & Financial Standards:
- Participate in the forecasting process and help in setting financial standards for the department.
- Contribute to goal-setting activities and ensure timely month-end and year-end close processes.

- Financial Statements & Budgeting:
- Organize the preparation of financial statements and budgets accurately and in a timely manner.

- Tax Compliance & Audits:
- Support and oversee internal and external tax audits and the preparation of tax returns.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP requirements and support business processes with appropriate documentation.

- Collaboration & Process Improvement:
- Work closely with financial and accounting managers to optimize overall financial operations.
- Maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations and ensure that all accounting procedures comply with regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
- Experience:
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting, with a solid understanding of accounting software and practices.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and lead a team effectively.
