Job Description
Job Title: Wireline Desk Engineer
Roles & Responsibilities:
Monitoring and Coordination:
- Coordinate closely with AoN stakeholders including Contract Administrators, Drilling Engineers, production teams, and reservoir engineers to ensure smooth execution of daily and upcoming wireline activities.
- Monitor daily wireline operations with EIC and OM, forecasting wireline activities for assigned rigs and work orders (WO).
- Manage availability of resources (personnel, tools, materials) required for daily wireline activities in coordination with FOM and EIC.
- Liaise with ADNOC Onshore Contract Administrators, DE, and other stakeholders for efficient execution of wireline activities.
Planning and Execution:
- Plan wireline operations for Rigs & WO, coordinating with AoN Drilling Engineers for Purchase Order (PO) issuance.
- Plan Rigless wireline operations and coordinate with Petroleum Engineers for PO issuance.
- Provide technical support during planning and execution phases, collaborating with AoN Representatives.
- Assess resource availability (personnel, equipment, materials) for upcoming wireline activities with FOM and EIC.
- Ensure alignment and synchronization of planning and execution across teams and departments.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements or technological innovations to enhance customer value and reduce costs.
- Pursue new opportunities outside allocated scope of work.
Forecast and Reporting:
- Conduct weekly forecast meetings with AoN stakeholders to align on upcoming activities, challenges, and resource allocations.
- Evaluate issues or improvement opportunities, preparing reports on wireline activities, forecast metrics, operational challenges, and recommendations.
- Communicate project timelines, milestones, and critical deliverables, addressing conflicts to reach consensus on action plans.
Technology and Innovation:
- Stay updated with latest wireline technologies, tools, and best practices.
- Implement innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of wireline operations.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Foster collaboration among departments and teams involved in forecasted activities.
- Ensure clear communication channels and alignment of objectives within WFRD.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate wireline data into reservoir models and production strategies.
- Effectively communicate wireline activities, results, and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to HSE standards during wireline operations.
- Participate in safety meetings, audits, and inspections to maintain a safe work environment.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Previous experience in wireline operations within the oil and gas industry, ideally in a supervisory or technical role.
- Strong understanding of wireline tools, equipment, and techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Familiarity with ADNOC Onshore's policies, procedures, and operational guidelines preferred.
- Certifications in HSE and wireline operations advantageous.
