Job Description

Job Title: Senior Executive - Accounts

Job Purpose:

The Senior Executive - Accounts is responsible for ensuring that all financial records are accurate, up-to-date, and maintained in compliance with industry standards. This role plays a crucial part in supporting the organization’s financial decision-making by managing, tracking, and correcting financial data.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

- Invoice Management:
- Generate invoices based on Sales Orders and GDA, and ensure timely dispatch to customers or upload on customer portals.
- Coordinate with the relevant executive for discounting or factoring sales invoices with banks or other financial institutions.
- Issue GDAs, GRAs, payment invoices (specific to Egypt operations), and credit notes, ensuring accurate updates in ERP/Tally.
- Upload invoices to customer portals or send via email or courier as required.

- Financial Entries & Updates:
- Record purchases and service provider invoices (specific to Egypt operations) in the system.
- Verify and update petty cash transactions (specific to Egypt operations) in the system.
- Accrue expenses related to transportation, payroll, and other prepayments, and pass monthly amortization entries (specific to Egypt operations).

- Reconciliation & Reporting:
- Reconcile physical stock with inventory reports and address discrepancies.
- Follow up with customers on payments, adjust received payments, and address overdue payments with the insurance company as necessary.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial reports as required by management.

- Payment Management:
- Prepare and propose payment plans, ensuring timely execution once approved.
- Track payment requests from various departments, planning and executing payments based on fund availability.
- Report daily on opening balances, previous transactions, and proposed payments against available balances.

- Bank Reconciliation & Documentation:
- Perform bank reconciliations and manage float reporting.
- Prepare debit notes for suppliers and credit notes for customers.
- Maintain document control and ensure adherence to HSE policies, procedures, and safe working practices.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Required Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email applications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage deadlines.
- Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.

Required Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accountancy.

B.Com, M.Com, MBA, CMA, or CA (part qualified) or an equivalent qualification.

Required Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- Real-time experience with Tally ERP and SAP implementation.
- Exposure to import/export trades, banking products, and related financial matters.
- Knowledge of Egypt's tax system, specifically payroll and social security tax.
- Immediate availability to join.
