Job Description

Job Title: Manager - Sales & Business Development

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Develop a growth strategy focused on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
- Introduce Oren to new customers in line with company strategy.
- Drive and achieve monthly sales targets outlined for the GCC market.
- Conduct research to identify new market opportunities and customer needs in the GCC oil field products market.
- Identify key oilfield chemical products used by drilling companies (end users) in the GCC market.
- Engage with the purchasing teams of drilling companies to promote and sell Oren chemical products.
- Meet with key clients, support sales representatives in maintaining relationships, and negotiate and close deals.
- Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and proposed client base expansion areas.
- Act as a liaison between the Oren Tech team and end users.
- Analyze market data and provide actionable insights to management for planning, production, and sales strategies.
- Explore ways to improve existing products and services to increase profitability.
- Oversee and evaluate market research, adjusting marketing strategies to meet evolving market and competitive dynamics.
- Guide the Sales and Business Development (SBD) team in preparing sales reports and present findings to executive management.
- Direct sales forecasting activities and set performance goals accordingly.
- Direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and manage sales and marketing programs.
- Represent the company at trade association meetings to promote products.
- Review and analyze sales performance against programs, quotes, and plans to assess effectiveness.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of sales and marketing techniques and financial principles. Effectively communicate orally and in writing with co-management, internal teams, and external customers.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA will be an added advantage.
- Minimum ten (10) years of sales experience in a chemical company or operations in an oil drilling company (service company), preferably with mud engineering experience.
- Ability to create effective programs, presentations, technical recommendations, and performance reports.
- Ability to work under high pressure and be results-oriented.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with senior leaders.
- Extensive travel within the designated area of responsibility.
- Excellent customer relations skills and sales ability.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prepare technical presentations.
- Ability to thrive in a multitask, high-paced environment, with self-direction and motivation to prioritize responsibilities, coordinate ongoing projects, and pay precise attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with various groups and field operations.
- Proficiency in English, French, and Chinese languages preferred.
