Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Laboratory Technologist specializing in Molecular Biology to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting a variety of molecular biology experiments, analyzing and interpreting data, and maintaining accurate records. The Laboratory Technologist will also assist in the development and optimization of molecular biology protocols, as well as troubleshoot technical issues as they arise. Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are essential for success in this role. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field, along with previous laboratory experience, is required. Responsibilities:
1. Conduct molecular biology experiments and assays using techniques such as PCR, DNA sequencing, and gel electrophoresis.
2. Perform sample preparation, extraction, and purification of nucleic acids for analysis.
3. Analyze and interpret experimental data to draw conclusions and make recommendations.
4. Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure all instruments are calibrated and in proper working order.
5. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all laboratory processes to ensure accuracy and reproducibility of results.
6. Document experimental procedures, results, and findings accurately in laboratory notebooks and electronic databases.
7. Collaborate with other team members and researchers to troubleshoot technical issues and optimize protocols.
8. Stay current with developments in molecular biology research and technology to continuously improve laboratory practices.
9. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
10. Assist in writing scientific reports and publications based on research findings.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or related field.
- Previous experience working in a molecular biology laboratory setting.
- Familiarity with molecular biology techniques such as PCR, DNA extraction, and gel electrophoresis.
- Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and software for data analysis.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures accurately.
