Job Description


About the Role:
The role involves the day-to-day management of store operations, ensuring the implementation of company policies and procedures, and driving the commercial performance of the store to achieve set objectives.

Core Responsibilities:

1. Store Operations Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure store objectives are achieved.
- Greet customers, describe product features, and demonstrate product use and handling.
- Educate clients on brand quality standards and specifications.

2. Customer Service:
- Advise customers on product ranges, answering queries to assist in purchase decisions.
- Resolve customer complaints and respond to comments in a timely and professional manner.

3. Loss Prevention and Compliance:
- Maintain proper loss prevention standards.
- Ensure compliance with cash handling procedures and prevent theft of products.

4. Promotions and Merchandising:
- Implement in-store promotions and ensure effective price changes based on brand guidelines.
- Implement seasonal and sale layouts to maintain brand-specific merchandising standards.
- Price tag and barcode all products before display.

5. Stock Management:
- Rotate stock on shelves and assist in accurate stock counts.
- Record stock administration (stock count, dispatch, and delivery) on the system promptly and accurately.
- Ensure effective stock replenishment, ongoing recovery, and maintenance.

6. Security and Housekeeping:
- Maintain awareness and vigilance regarding store security.
- Uphold the highest standards of housekeeping and grooming etiquettes.

7. Team Development:
- Define goals and key performance indicators for team members.
- Implement GMG's performance management process.
- Develop team talent through guidance, mentoring, and coaching.

People Management:
- Drive a culture of feedback and coaching within the Business Unit/Department.
- Provide ongoing feedback, identify development needs, and coach employees for improvement.

This role encompasses leadership responsibilities, requiring effective management of day-to-day operations, ensuring an exceptional customer experience, and fostering team development within GMG's business unit.
