Mott MacDonald - Design Engineer (Oil and Gas) - Job Description Overview:

About the Role:
Mott MacDonald is expanding its team in Oman and is actively seeking Design Engineers to contribute to Oil and Gas projects. The key responsibilities include:

1. Engineering Drawings: Prepare detailed engineering drawings and quantity calculations for statutory submissions.

2. Design Phases: Generate detailed engineering drawings throughout all design phases, including FEED and Detail Design stages.

3. 3D Modeling: Develop 3D models for all Civil and Structural components of plant super-structure and sub-structure facilities.

4. Drawing Accuracy: Produce accurate and presentable drawings, ensuring consistency checks and modifications are performed on existing drawings.

5. Coordination: Liaise with other disciplines to ensure coordinated designs that meet overall project requirements.

6. Quality Management: Understand and implement the Company's quality management system in projects.

7. Surveys: Conduct surveys necessary for the development of the assigned work area.

Candidate Specification:

- Engineering diploma in Civil Engineering with consultancy background experience, preferably in Oil and Gas engineering.
- Detailed design experience in Oil and Gas facilities.
- Proficiency in drafting works for oil and gas facilities, including foundations, buildings, support structures, using computerized tools.
- Familiarity with Concrete and Structural steel detailing.
- Proficient in 2D drafting software (AutoCAD, etc.) and 3D software (PDMS, E3D, etc.).
- Experience in Bentley MicroStation and AutoDesk Civil 3D/Revit is advantageous.
- Skills in bar bending schedules, quantity calculations, and familiarity with BIM tools.
