Role Overview:
As part of the growing team in Oman, Mott MacDonald is seeking Pipeline Engineers to contribute to Oil and Gas projects. The role involves reviewing client technical documentation, participating in design workshops, and overseeing the design, construction, and installation of pipeline infrastructure and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Review client technical documentation and requirements.
2. Participate in main design workshops (e.g., ALARP, HAZOP) and understand pipeline technical contribution.
3. Conduct pipeline wall thickness calculation, rail/road crossing calculation, reinforcement calculation, and Hot Tap Calculation for metallic pipelines.
4. Understand Hot-tap feasibility study and split tee design.
5. Design requirements for GRE pipelines, including road/wadi crossings, route constraints, flange joint with metallic side, etc.
6. Technical understanding of pipeline components (line pipe, Barred Tee, pig trap, flanges, valves, isolation joint, heat shrink sleeve, fittings).
7. Prepare and present technical materials such as cost estimates, pipeline layouts, and flow simulations.
8. Calculate project requirements (materials, budget, time).
9. Develop digital designs such as pipeline maps, blueprints, and mechanical diagrams.
10. Oversee the construction and installation process of pipeline infrastructure and systems.
11. Manage project workflow and budget.
12. Perform quality control assessments to ensure compliance with technical and safety regulations.
13. Perform maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to pipelines.
14. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in design software, technical standards, and construction techniques.

Candidate Specification:
- Engineering degree in Mechanical.
- Experience in pipeline design and construction.
- Understanding of welding processes for different materials.
- Ability to ensure HDPE jointing in compliance with relevant standards/method statements.
- Understanding of reviewing pipeline stress analysis reports and recommending solutions for unsafe designs.
- Ensure an adequate standard of technical documentation and contribute to updating company standards.
