About the Role:

Our team in Oman is expanding, and we are looking to bring on board a Planning Engineer to contribute to Oil and Gas projects. The key responsibilities and duties include:

- Building overall plans and schedules for the execution phase of projects, including ad-hoc construction service requests and integrated maintenance plans.
- Ensuring progress reporting for work activities and regularly updating plans and schedules.
- Collaborating closely with the Company Engineering & Operations planning department for engineering, construction, and CSU planning. This involves inclusive reporting, PRIMAVERA P6 entry, SAP daily service entry, and submitting bi-weekly/monthly reports.
- Optimizing and prioritizing resources in conjunction with Senior Project Engineers, Construction, and Maintenance Coordinators.
- Providing early warnings of plan delays and proposing mitigation strategies to Senior Project Engineers, Construction, and Maintenance Coordinators for resolution.
- Assisting in job preparation for Junior Project Engineers.

Candidate Specification:

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:

- Fluency in English.
- Proficiency in project control, planning, and reporting software, particularly PRIMAVERA P6.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to form, smoothly interact with, and motivate a team within a matrix-type organization.
- Proficiency in the use of data management and planning software for Oil & Gas projects.
- Experience with PRIMAVERA (P6) planning is a must.
- Ability and experience to build logic precedence networks, challenge proposed logic by other disciplines, and optimize project and maintenance planning.
- Capability to build resource activity plans, including ongoing update, change control, progress reporting, etc.
