Engineer - Electrical Infrastructure

Job Title: Electrical Infrastructure Engineer

About the Role:

Our esteemed team is expanding in Oman, and we are actively seeking qualified Electrical Infrastructure Engineers to contribute to our growing portfolio of Oil and Gas projects.

Key Responsibilities and Duties (including but not limited to):

- Prepare and meticulously review critical engineering deliverables such as Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), Metering and protection drawings, equipment layout, cable trench and cable routing layout, cable and conduit schedule, earthing layout, lightning protection, lighting layouts, block diagrams, interconnection schedule, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, Safety and Operational Executive Reports (SOER), and Material Take-Off (MTO) calculations.

- Execute comprehensive electrical design calculations.

- Participate in technical reviews and progress assessments for ongoing projects.

- Conduct and participate in design reviews and Safety and Functionality Operation Procedures (SAFOP).

- Provide installation and commissioning support for the electrical components of High Voltage (HV) infrastructure projects.

- Attend Quality Assurance (QA) audits for assigned projects and prepare corrective actions for Corrective Action Requests (CAR).

- Supervise Engineers, senior designers, and other team members to ensure the successful execution of work in terms of quality and schedule adherence.

- Ensure that Lessons Learned (LL) are contributed from all projects to a centralized database.

Candidate Specification:

- Engineering diploma in Electrical Engineering with a background in consultancy, preferably in the field of Oil and Gas engineering.

- Proficient and hands-on experience with Dig Silent, EDSA, and ETAP electrical power solution software for performing power system studies.

- Proficient in protection relays and protection relay setting/schedules.

- Experience in the preparation of electrical specifications, equipment data sheets, equipment selection, and technical bid evaluation.
