Job Title: Visual Merchandiser

Overview of the Role:

The Visual Merchandiser is responsible for ensuring that the visual presentation of the store aligns with IKEA's guidelines and manuals, ensuring that the IKEA Concept is fully and effectively implemented. This role plays a crucial part in enhancing the in-store customer experience through creative and functional home furnishing displays.

Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure that the store's visual presentation is consistent with IKEA's manuals, fully implementing the IKEA Concept.
- Plan and coordinate the execution of compact, accessory shops, shop windows, activity podiums, perimeter breaks, self-serve areas, Swedish Food Market, and Exit Café displays within the IKEA store.
- Uphold the integrity of the IKEA concept and brand by following IKEA guidelines to create functional and inspirational home furnishing solutions.
- Collaborate with the Visual Merchandising Leader to ensure that display solutions align with ongoing commercial activities.
- Work closely with the Sales and In-Store Logistics teams to efficiently implement projects and daily sales steering activities using IKEA display solutions, communication, and sales methods.
- Support the planning and implementation of the store’s commercial calendar.
- Ensure the implementation of cost-effective, safe, and environmentally friendly display solutions in compliance with local legislation.
- Continuously resource and maintain detailed knowledge of home furnishing solutions within the local market.

Required Skills to be Successful:

- Proven ability to visualize, design, and communicate home furnishing and retail solutions.
- Strong attention to detail with a keen eye for aesthetics.
- Proficiency in computer-aided design software, including Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp.
- Demonstrated commitment to high-quality execution within tight deadlines.
- Ability to lead the planning, presentation, and implementation of range presentation solutions at the retail organization level.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- 0-3 years of experience in retail interior design, architectural planning, or visual merchandising.
- Degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Product Design, Applied Arts, or Architecture.
- Passionate about interior design, home furnishings, and creative design.
- Good understanding of market relevance and the local market trends.
