Job Description: Planning Engineer

Job Purpose:
The Planning Engineer is responsible for independently handling duties within the identified role boundaries, ensuring compliance with standard practices. The job holder develops long-term and short-term maintenance plans for Air Arabia's fleet based on the Approved Maintenance Program and other relevant documents. Coordination with stakeholders and compliance with policies and procedures are essential aspects of this role.

Key Result Responsibilities:

Planning and Coordination:
1. Develop long-term and short-term maintenance plans for Air Arabia's fleet based on the Approved Maintenance Program.
2. Execute maintenance activities forecasting in company MIS (AMOS) in a timely and cost-effective manner.
3. Create scheduled and unscheduled line maintenance/base maintenance/workshop/third-party work packages, coordinating with stakeholders.
4. Prepare, coordinate, and schedule short-term maintenance requirements, working closely with line maintenance and MCC departments.
5. Coordinate, create, plan, and verify third-party maintenance work packages.
6. Maintain a system for monitoring and controlling the maintenance program to ensure timely execution and adherence to approved practices.
7. Develop monthly/quarterly/half-yearly and yearly man-hour forecast vs. man-hours utilized reports.
8. Coordinate with stakeholders to develop maintenance capacity plans, managing scheduled/unscheduled maintenance activities.
9. Coordinate with Technical Procurement to ensure tools, spare parts, and components are available before scheduling or planning maintenance activities.
10. Monitor task completion versus Engineers' check requests, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
11. Ensure schedule compliance of airworthiness directives, non-mandatory service bulletins, and modifications issued by CAMO engineering.
12. Provide assistance in the aircraft lease/sublease process through technical evaluation.
13. Coordinate with Engineering, Finance, and Legal for smooth processing of lease/sublease agreements.
14. Provide feedback to CAMO engineering services to enhance, improve, or increase efficiency of maintenance-related documents.

Qualifications:
- University Degree in Aircraft Engineering/Aeronautical/Aerospace/Industrial or equivalent.
- Project Management certificate or corresponding working experience.
- Certifications in Cost Control, Compliance, Budgeting, and Quality Assurance are advantageous.
- Proficient in using technology systems and tools, including Microsoft Suite and MRO systems.
- Excellent command over written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluent in English Language.

Work Experience:
- 5+ years' experience in the Aviation industry, with 4 years in a "Planning Engineer" or similar capacity.
- Experience with Airbus A320 aircraft is preferred.
- Familiarity with aircraft planning systems, procedures, and documents such as MPD, MRB, AMP, and regulations like CAMO.
- Working knowledge of EASA part 145, part 21, and subpart "M" requirements.
- Experience working with a team of professionals in a dynamic environment.

- Exposure to airline and Flight Operations regulations.
- Familiarity with Quality Assurance/Safety/Audit practices.
- High accuracy and attention to detail.
- Cost-oriented with effective problem-solving skills.
