Job Description - Construction Supervisor (Offshore Pipelines & Cables Project)

Job Purpose:

The Construction Supervisor for the Offshore Pipelines & Cables Project is responsible for supervising construction activities, coordinating technical interfaces, obtaining timely approvals, and ensuring the safe and high-quality completion of onshore and offshore construction scopes. This role involves managing site activities, overseeing onshore construction, and coordinating with various project teams for issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervision of Construction Activities:

Manage all construction site activities to ensure technical objectives are met safely within the approved scope and schedule.

Supervise onshore construction activities, including beach pull, cable landing, and valve stations, adhering to project milestones.

Technical Interface Coordination:

Coordinate all technical interface requirements for construction and installation activities.

Obtain timely approvals from relevant authorities, Third Party Operators, and interface projects.

Risk Identification and Mitigation:

Identify main risks associated with construction and installation scopes.

Propose early mitigation strategies to address identified risks.

Communication and Collaboration:

Interface with various project teams and departments to resolve issues.

Demonstrate effective communication, initiative, flexibility, and collaboration skills.

Skills:

Qualifications and Experience:

Engineering Degree or equivalent, with HNC/HND considered if coupled with relevant experience.

Minimum of 10 years' experience in construction, with at least 8 years demonstrated at a senior construction level in major capital pipeline & cable projects within the offshore oil and gas industry.

Experience working with EPC contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors in the oil and gas industry.

Demonstrated ability to work with people from a variety of cultural backgrounds.

Worldwide experience with contractors involved in onshore and offshore pipeline construction.

Good interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on teamwork.
