Job Description - Lead Civil/Structural Engineer (Onshore Buildings)

Key Accountabilities:

Coordinate Activities:

Coordinate the activities of EPC contractors, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure quality assurance and timely production of Onshore Buildings deliverables as per the project execution schedule and budget.

Scope Compliance:

Analyze technical attachments and scope descriptions of structures/buildings related purchase orders to ensure compliance with the scope outlined in contracts.

Design Compliance and Recovery Plans:

Ensure Onshore Civil/Structural engineering design aligns with the project's change management program and is consistent with the engineering schedule and critical milestones.

Steward recovery plans to address schedule delays and resolve any engineering claims from the Contractor.

Lessons Learned:

Supply previous lessons learned knowledge to enhance project performance.

Ensure current project lessons learned are documented for future reference.

Assessment of Contractor's Activities:

Assess Contractor’s Civil/Structural activities, ensuring adherence to specifications, standards, and design verification processes.

Review and Post-Audit:

Cooperate with review teams and support post-audit activities related to civil/structural design.

Compliance Oversight:

Oversee EPC Contractors to ensure compliance with project and RLIC requirements in the design.

Skills and Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.

Experience:

15 years of overall experience.

10 years of relevant experience with 5 years in a Lead Civil/Structural engineering role, demonstrating overall responsibility for civil engineering execution in onshore projects.

Knowledge:

Broad and extensive knowledge of design standards, specifications, codes, safety criteria, onshore facilities and structure design, construction, operations, and engineering administration.

Building Contractor Engagement:

Preferable experience of working or engaging with Building Contractors.

Industrial City Familiarity:

Familiarity with working in Industrial Cities.
