Construction Supervisor

Job Title: Construction Supervisor

Key Job Accountabilities:

1. Supervision and Coordination:
- Supervise EPIC Contractors during the execution of construction activities at the construction site.
- Participate in reviewing detailed design drawings, method statements, and material requisitions.
- Coordinate the mobilization of contractors on site.
- Supervise and approve construction activities, including inspections, material submissions, and working drawings.
- Carry out daily checks on contractor’s staff and work to ensure compliance with contractual specifications.

2. Electrical/Instrument Construction Activities:
- Handle all aspects of Electrical/Instrument Construction activities, including site investigations and surveys.
- Supervise and manage installation of Earthing and Lightning Protection works.
- Manage installation of Lighting and Small Power works.
- Supervise cable tray installation, Fire Alarm System cable laying, and termination works.
- Coordinate finalizing cable entries, cable routes, cable diversions, etc.
- Supervise Instrument Control & Power Cable laying and termination works.
- Supervise Fiber Optic cable installation and splicing works.
- Supervise installation of Fire Alarm Control Panels, Repeater Panels, and Mimic Panels.
- Ensure cable termination and loop checking.

3. Coordination and Collaboration:
- Overall coordination with Mechanical works, HVAC works, Fire alarm & Loss prevention system works, Building Services works, etc.
- Coordinate with other client Construction Supervisors (Mechanical/Architectural).

4. Quality and Documentation:
- Witness SAT pre-commissioning activities for equipment.
- Maintain a daily record of progress (daily diary) and report work anomalies or deviations.
- Sign work permits on behalf of the client and ensure contractor’s compliance with work permits.
- Participate in the development of as-built drawings/documentation.
- Prepare Punch list for finished work prior to handover to the client.

5. Reporting and Safety:
- Report to the client Senior Construction Supervisor on main issues, events, progress reporting, and recommendations for improvement.
- Accountable for supervising contractor’s work, inspecting work, and preventing accidents by enforcing safety standards.
- Liaise and report with the QC Inspector on quality matters.
- Liaise with the HSE Supervisor on safety-related matters.

Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum 10 to 15 years of overall E&I experience in the Construction of offshore topside structures/modules/living quarters for oil and gas industries.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good knowledge of reading and understanding Equipment Layout drawings.
- Familiarity with quality and safety standards in the oil and gas industry.
