Job Description

Job Title: Safety and Security Manager

Position Overview:
The Safety and Security Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of safety and security for assigned hotels, ensuring a safe experience for guests and team members. This role involves overseeing risk management processes, conducting investigations, and liaising with local enforcement officials. The manager will also ensure compliance with health and safety standards through regular audits and training.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage internal and external guest accident/incident records using standard legal practices.
- Guide investigations related to criminal activities at the property level.
- Oversee health and safety, food safety, fire safety, security, trading standards, public health, housing, and disability compliance within allocated hotels.
- Assist in hotel-level investigations and provide advice for protecting the company's assets.
- Liaise with local enforcement officials on routine inspections and accident investigations.
- Analyze accident data to allocate resources to high-risk areas within hotels.
- Support operations with statutory specialist training, supplier approval, and crisis management.
- Implement and manage safety risk management practices in line with company policy.
- Actively work to reduce guest complaints related to safety and fire safety.
- Audit the hotel to ensure compliance with health and safety and food hygiene standards.
- Train managers, supervisors, and colleagues on safety issues.

Requirements:
- Minimum of five years of experience in security or a related field within the hospitality industry.
- Effective time management and supervisory skills.
- Positive attitude with good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent grooming standards.
- Flexibility to handle various work situations.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to deal effectively with team members and guests.
- Experience in safety and security management, including fire safety management and risk assessment.
- Proficiency in English (verbal and written) for effective communication.
- Thorough knowledge of hotel floor plans, building layouts, and local area.
- Proficiency in using computer programs for correspondence, reports, and presentations.
- Physical ability to perform essential job functions for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications:
- University degree in security and safety.
- Fire Safety Management/Risk Assessment certification.
- Knowledge of safety regulations.
- Previous experience with Hilton security and safety standards.
