Job Description

Job Title: MIS Account Officer

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules for Management Information System (MIS) reporting.
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for the monthly financial statement close.
- Analyze expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately and report on variances.
- Prepare the management accounts pack, including the monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) statement, balance sheet, and analysis of variance and performance reports.
- Prepare monthly forecast vs. actual cash flow reports and weekly reporting on forecasted and actual collections.

- Regulatory Compliance and Internal Controls:
- Ensure all financial deliverables comply with regulatory guidance and professional standards.
- Document and monitor internal controls and ensure compliance with VAT regulations.
- Review tax filings to ensure accuracy and timely submission to Group VAT for consolidation.
- Prepare workings and estimates for necessary provisions at month-end and year-end.

- Accounts Receivable and Collections:
- Collect payments and post them to accounts, recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
- Make personal visits to collect debts and reach out to customers with unpaid debt.
- Set up repayment plans according to the customer’s ability to pay.
- Advise customers of default consequences and debt repayment policies.
- Generate daily MIS reports for management review of outstanding receivables.
- Update receivables by totaling unpaid invoices and conduct monthly/quarterly account reconciliations.

- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Participate in the preparation of annual budgets and business plans.
- Prepare project-wise budget vs. actual reports on a weekly basis.

- Audit and Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist with the annual audit process.
- Prepare feasibility study reports for company CAPEX.
- Handle additional assignments requested by management.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Strong background in accounting, financial reporting, and MIS.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial management tools.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
- Experience with tax regulations and financial audits is preferred.
