Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Assistant for our Outpatient Department (OPD) to provide essential care and support to patients visiting our healthcare facility. The Nursing Assistant OPD will be responsible for ensuring patients' comfort, dignity, and safety during their outpatient visits. Key Responsibilities:

- Demonstrate understanding and application of evidence-based healthcare practices to optimize patient safety and minimize healthcare errors.
- Provide nursing care to patients visiting the outpatient department, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout their visit.
- Utilize excellent observation skills to assess patients' condition, think critically, and make prompt and effective decisions.
- Efficiently manage patient care within the assigned clinic and provide support to other nursing units in the hospital as needed.
- Ensure the safety of patients within the clinic environment and adhere to all safety protocols and standards.
- Accurately monitor and record patients' vital signs, symptoms, and other relevant information according to established policies and procedures.
- Assist physicians with procedures and technical tasks, demonstrating proficiency in clinical skills and manual dexterity.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing information, education, and support regarding their healthcare needs, treatment plans, and self-care practices.
- Identify and report any abnormalities or changes in patients' condition promptly to the medical staff, escalating concerns as necessary.
- Educate patients and families on disease management, dietary requirements, pain management, rehabilitation, and other relevant topics, providing educational materials as available.
- Recognize and respond promptly to medical complications or emergencies, assisting in emergency management as required.

Requirements

Qualification & Experience:
- Diploma in Nursing from an accredited institution.

Certification & Licensure:
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Completed fire safety training and infection control training.
- Valid license from the Ministry of Health (MOH).
