Position: Food and Beverage Cost Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Food and Beverage Cost Controller. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for meticulously analyzing food and beverage costs, preparing cost reports, and implementing strategies to improve cost efficiency. Your efforts will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our operations are in line with budgeted costs and contribute to the overall financial success of our organization.

Core Responsibilities:

Cost Analysis and Management:

- Prepare and analyze food, beverage, and handicraft costs on a monthly basis, recommending alternatives to improve costs.
- Assist in adjusting menu prices based on collected information to align with budgeted Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).
- Establish and maintain an inventory stock database with up-to-date pricing to ensure proper storage and issuance of all items.
- Implement a cost allocation transfer system for supplies to various departments, summarizing transactions for each financial period close to align with budgets.

Point of Sales (POS) System:

- Cost all food and beverage items, inputting costs into the POS system, and generating monthly potential cost of sales.
- Check menu pricing on the POS system to ensure accuracy and correct loading of prices.

Recipe Management:

- Prepare and review all recipes, calculating costs and prices to ensure alignment with COGS budget.
- Attend the process of preparing new recipes for menu additions, ensuring accuracy in calculating the cost and price of each item.

Financial Reporting and Planning:

- Prepare cost reports for the Kitchen and Restaurant, analyzing cost ratios monthly to ensure alignment with budget.
- Assist in preparing the annual budget for the Food and Beverage sector.
- Contribute to short and long-term planning of F&B controlling and pricing aspects in line with organizational strategy.

Variance Analysis and Auditing:

- Prepare variance analysis for food and beverage costs, communicating findings with relevant parties.
- Check the daily Food & Beverage revenues report for accuracy in covers and average check.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Banking & Finance, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in both English and Arabic (written and spoken).
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
