Job Title: Proposal Development Specialist

Job Description:

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Proposal Development Specialist to join our team. As a Proposal Development Specialist, you will play a crucial role in identifying and assessing opportunities, contributing to the proposal development process, and collaborating with various departments and team members. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in social sciences or a related field, with 3-5 years of experience in proposal development, especially for international donors. Excellent English and Arabic language skills, both written and spoken, are essential for this role.

Core Responsibilities:

1. Opportunity Identification:
- Identify opportunities, such as Request for Proposals (RFPs), and assess them based on organizational needs, capacity, and vision.

2. Proposal Development:
- Contribute to the proposal development process, coordinating with various departments and team members.
- Design interventions and programs in collaboration with technical teams.
- Author specific components of proposals, including objectives, outcomes, activities, context analysis, implementation approach and plan, executive summaries, organization capacity statements, and past experience.

3. Research and Reporting:
- Conduct research and contribute to drafting research reports, especially in the fields of community empowerment, livelihood, child protection, and women and youth empowerment.

4. Presentations:
- Prepare and conduct presentations highlighting the organization’s capacity, experience, and proposed project details.

5. Business Opportunity Plans:
- Support institutional systems for forecasting upcoming business opportunities.
- Develop Business Opportunity Plans at the country and regional levels.

6. Templates and Tools:
- Ensure the development of templates and tools for proposal development.

7. Coordination and Meetings:
- Actively coordinate and participate in planning/status meetings to ensure adherence to good proposal management practices.

Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in proposal development, preferably for international donors.
- Strong English and Arabic language skills (written and spoken).
