Job Title: Assistant Design Manager

Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Design Manager to join our team and contribute to our creative initiatives. As an Assistant Design Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Design Manager in various aspects of design, market research, and product development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fine or visual arts, industrial or graphic design, textile design, or art history, and possess excellent communication skills in both English and Arabic.

Core Responsibilities:

1. Market Research and Analysis:
- Assist in conducting thorough market research to identify emerging trends and customer preferences.
- Create detailed sketches and drawings, including material selection, for clearer concept visualization.

2. Documentation and Communication:
- Ensure proper documentation of technical detailed specs for each design/product.
- Share technical specs with Production Centre's for quality, consistency, and effective communication.

3. Product Development:
- Collaborate with Production Centre's to create feasible product samples in line with approved mood boards.
- Ensure functionality, quality, and cost-efficiency of product samples.

4. Corporate Sales Support:
- Provide technical design insights to streamline and improve the sales process for corporates.
- Develop and maintain an up-to-date handicraft corporate sale deck.

5. External Projects and E-commerce:
- Assist in fulfilling external design requests outside of Jordan.
- Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis for external projects.
- Create mood boards for JRD e-commerce under the supervision of the Design Manager.

6. Exhibitions and Events:
- Support daily operations of exhibitions, locally and abroad, including styling, sales, packaging, and shipping.
- Coordinate styling and setup for JRF's major events, galas, official visits, and showrooms.

7. Art Enlargements and Installations:
- Support in producing art enlargements or installations for JRD showrooms.

Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Fine or Visual Arts, Industrial or Graphic Design, Textile Design, Art History.
- Basic computer skills for digital designs, managing online portfolios, and promoting crafts.
- 5+ years of experience in a relevant role.
- Excellent English and Arabic language skills (written and spoken).
