Position: Main Chef

We are seeking a talented and innovative Main Chef to join our team, responsible for consistently delivering creative and high-quality cuisine that exceeds guest expectations. The Main Chef will oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring excellence in food preparation, presentation, and flavour, while maintaining strict adherence to hygiene practices and quality standards.

Core Responsibilities:

- Provide daily direction for kitchen operations, planning and supervising food preparation to ensure staff consistently meets established standards.
- Train, develop, and motivate culinary staff to exceed food preparation standards consistently.
- Prepare food according to well-defined recipes, actively seeking opportunities for continuous improvement in the kitchen's culinary offerings.
- Audit inventory levels, order products as necessary, and ensure product availability for seamless kitchen operations.
- Maintain a sanitary work area, ensuring compliance with food handling and sanitation standards.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of all food products, maintaining optimal freshness and quality.
- Oversee the maintenance and functionality of kitchen equipment to prioritize worker safety.
- Maintain consistency in product preparation and uphold departmental appearance/quality standards.
- Implement and enforce proper purchasing, receiving, and food storage standards to guarantee high-quality ingredients.
- Enforce safety procedures for kitchen and food servers, prioritizing the well-being of the team.
- Conduct regular reviews of the final product to uphold quality and presentation standards before serving customers.
- Coordinate with the team on supply ordering, budget management, kitchen efficiency, and staffing to control expenses and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with HQ Cafeteria and Daimeh Eatery to address any shortage items and ensure seamless operations.
- Follow up with HQ Cafeteria and Daimeh Eatery regarding food quality to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Establish production and staff schedules to ensure ample support at all times and timely delivery of food services.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Science or related certificate (preferred).
- Strong proficiency in both English and Arabic (written and spoken).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant/hotel.
- Proven culinary expertise with previous experience in training kitchen staff and implementing kitchen procedures.
