Job Title: Spa Therapist

Position Summary:

As a Spa Therapist at Al Manara, a Luxury Collection Hotel, you will be responsible for providing high-quality massage and body treatments to guests, ensuring their comfort, safety, and satisfaction. You will work with various spa products and equipment, maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the treatment areas, and promote spa services. Your role will be essential in creating an exceptional experience for our guests and upholding the standards of The Luxury Collection.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Guest Services:
- Provide massage services to guests using various props and products.
- Administer body treatments, including body scrubs, wraps, and hydrotherapy.
- Assess guest needs and check for contraindications such as allergies, high blood pressure, or pregnancy before starting treatments.
- Escort guests to and from treatment rooms, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the service.

- Workstation and Equipment Management:
- Arrange and maintain the workstation, treatment room, and drapes.
- Clean, maintain, and sterilize tools and equipment, ensuring a hygienic environment.
- Dispose of trash and dirty linens, and secure supplies and equipment at the end of each shift.
- Monitor and adhere to the time schedule for each treatment.

- Customer Experience:
- Promote and sell spa services and retail products related to the spa.
- Handle inappropriate guest behavior following Marriott International standard operating procedures.
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address their needs, and thank them with genuine appreciation.

- Compliance and Safety:
- Maintain current skills and licensure as per regional requirements.
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager and complete safety training and certifications.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, ensuring a professional appearance and confidentiality of proprietary information.

- Physical Requirements:
- Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods; grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
- Perform tasks requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Education:
- Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.

- Experience:
- At least 1 year of related work experience.

- Supervisory Experience:
- No supervisory experience required.

Required Qualifications:

- License or Certification:
- State or Regional Massage License.
