Job Overview:
As a Telephone Operator at Mondrian Doha, you will play a crucial role in maintaining communication standards and ensuring guest satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include handling calls, providing wake-up calls, managing room service orders, and maintaining communication equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Switchboard Operations:
- Place outside calls and answer the switchboard following departmental standards.
- Telephone guests for wake-up calls and inform Security if there is no response.
- Provide inland and international calls for guests, administering and charging as per procedure.

2. Bleep Procedures and Communication:
- Be fully conversant with all aspects of bleep procedures, including emergency testing.
- Activate internal and outside pagers according to procedure.
- Input and update guest messages within the property's management system (TMS).

3. Room Service and Guest Interaction:
- Correctly take and place room service orders, repeating the order back to the guest.
- Familiarize yourself with guest needs for efficient and friendly service.
- Create and maintain a personal rapport with regular guests.

4. Equipment Maintenance:
- Ensure all equipment, especially telephones, mobile phones, and bleeps, are maintained and in good repair.
- Assist in reporting any malfunctioning house phones, fire, emergency, and lift phones.

5. Communication and Teamwork:
- Read the daily instructions board to stay updated on changes and important information.
- Collaborate with other departments and employees to maintain positive working relationships.

6. Guest Satisfaction and Marketing:
- Ensure guest satisfaction by attending to requests and inquiries courteously and efficiently.
- Be aware of short and long-term marketing promotions.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to maintain positive and productive working relationships.
- Capability to work independently and collaborate with others in a teamwork environment.
